I was reminded of a couple things while viewing your work. Perhaps they might catch your interest.
A Gentleman's Duel: [link] This is a shortfilm that features a couple interesting designs halfway into it. You'll have to excuse the blatant fanservice and cheesy dialogue, of course, but it's a neat little find.
Gear Krieg: [link] This is a line of models that features an "alternate history" for WWII armor designs. Not quite steampunk, but close.
